Deep Under

Chris Redfield hated that feeling that was buried in the pit of his stomach. He was again thinking of the night he'd broken up with Jill. It was something he had never dreamed would happen. So many things had been said.. .so much he knew wasn't even true. But he had to do something otherwise she'd have talked him out of what he was doing now. Or worse, he gone with him. He wouldn't allow that. He couldn't.

“There’s that look again.” A voice remarked into the radio in Chris’ ear. It came from his team mate a few feet away. The owner of the voice glanced across at him with a smirk. “Not that I blame you, this is a serious shit storm.” They added, kicking aside some bio matter with their boot. “I’d rather be daydreaming too, trust me.”
