Parker smiled at Chris slightly, patting him on the shoulder. "For what it's worth... I'm sorry too. I was so obsessed with finding Alex... I didn't stop to see the signs. I should have found out Jill was pregnant... Had I known that..." He paused and ran his fingers through his hair. "I do blame myself for what happened to her."

Chris never responded to this. As soon as they were inside the building he muttered something about needing to get Parker certified and left the other man to navigate the holding cells alone.
Jessica, it seemed, had been waiting all day and half the night for him. She visibly brightened when he was let into her cell. "Parker!" She gushed, leaping to her feet to throw her arms around him. "I knew you wouldn't let me down!"

It took Chris nearly an hour to explain everything. And when he was done he was truly worried Jill still didn't understand. He wasn't overly sure he did either. But a part of him knew.

"I think you know as well as I do what I did." The doctor said with a smile, his light brown hair falling into his eyes. "Let's say she's part of a hive. A worker bee. There to serve her queen. She is far happier now without the ups and downs of a relationship. It seems to be far more trouble than it's worth."

Violet had slumbered the entire time Chris had been talking, snuggled against Jill's side. "But... But... How?" Jill finally managed to breathed as she glanced down at the little girl. "I mean..." She placed a hand to her smooth belly. "How could I not know?"

"Queen? And who might that be?" Parker growled. "I wanna meet your 'queen bee'!"

"I don't know. I mean... How is it that she's what...ten or eleven?" Chris asked, pausing to rub his forehead. "There's so many questions and I don't know how to answer any of them."

The doctor was shaking his head. "I doubt Veronica...Ms. Ashford would have time to bother with the likes of you."

Jill closed her eyes as she bowed her head slightly, pressing the heel of her hands to her eyes. "This is a lot to wake up to..."

"Ashford? I've heard that name before..." Parker murmured, frowning as he tried to recall.
"It was the Ashfords who blamed me for Wesker's attack on Rockfort island." Claire reminded Parker, her sapphire eyes narrowed at the doctor. She hadn't seen him hanging around here before, and she found it odd he suddenly appeared right as she came to visit Parker.

"At least you got to sleep through most of it." Chris whispered, looking away from Jill as he rubbed his scraggled beard.

"Well if it isn't the little Redfield brat." The doctor snorted, though he offered Claire a smile. "You and your brother and your little group truly think you're in charge of every thing. You will learn. I think you're beginning to see your control is slipping."

"That's a good look for you." Jill mused as she watched Chris rub his beard.

"I have no delusions of control... Only claiming back what the Ashfords owe me." Claire replied calmly.

"I was thinking so." Chris chuckled. "But it makes look old." He shook his head. "Right now I feel old." He confessed. "I'm not sure that's a good thing."

"What? That boy?" The doctor laughed. "Your man here can't even get back his wife. What hope do you really have?"

"Then what does that make me?" Jill replied with a slight smile as she gently peeled herself away from Violet. "You never know... People may start commenting on how young we look to have an eleven year old daughter."

Claire simply smiled, gently pulling Parker away from the other man before she smashed her fist into his face. Apparently some things were simply genetic, and the Redfield temper was one of them. Her fist hurt like hell, but damn that was worth it.

"I don't think that's going to happen." Chris sighed softly. "I'm too worried that Claire isn't going to be as accepting of all this as I am."

"PArker!" Rebecca's scream could be heard from the far end of the hall where a pair of men were hustling her to the elevator. She'd fought her serum and they were having to take her back to get it adjusted. Not that she knew anything but that they wouldn't let her go to her husband. "Parker!"

"What has she had to say?" Jill asked softly. "Is she still around? It does seem like a lifetime since I saw her." She added with a tired smile.

Parker was running down the halls still not caring that his behind was on show. "Rebecca! I'm coming to get you! Don't let them win!" He shouted.

"We're not speaking." Chris told her softly. He didn't meet jills eyes. He knew she would be disappointed in him.

"Parker please!" Rebecca cried now fighting as they yanked her toward the elevator. "I want to go home!"

"Chris..." Jill gently rose up off the bed and k let down beside the chair he was sat in. "What happened? Was it Leon, again?"

Parker felt a fist to his jaw, but it only slowed him down a little. Whoever these men were, they really didn't want him getting to Rebecca. "Don't forget, keep fighting whatever the..." He stumbled this time, another fist slamming into his stomach.

Chris was almost glad he heard Parker's shouts. It was enough to have him nearly knocking Jill over as he grabed his gun and headed for the door. "Keep Violet in here and lock the door." He instructed, quick to make an exit. He barely managed to catch Parker before the two of them slammed into the wall. "What the hell is going on?" He hissed, glancing toward a crowd of suited men that were herding what looked like Rebecca away.
He glanced toward his sister, hoping she might have an answer.

Claire shook her head, indicating now wasn't the time for answers. She too was surging down the hall. That couldn't have been Rebecca... Could it?
"let go of me!" Parker snarled, not caring that Chris had been trying to help.

Jill had slumped on the floor best to Chris' chairm feeling like she had just been put on the bench. She glanced over to where the little girl was sleeping, unable to help but wonder what Wesker had done to her. Unfortunately... A part of Jill couldn't help but think that may e Wesker had let the girl go for a reason.

Chris let go, holding up his hands in surrender. He moved around the other man and followed his sister, tossing his arm into the elevator doors before they could close.

Claire was there too, forcing her slender shoulder into the closing doors. She hadn't exactly thought it through, and promptly found herself pouring blood as one of the men shot her in the shoulder she had just used to help her brother keep the doors from closing.

Rebecca was still screaming for Parker, clawing and scratching at every one of them as she fought to get free. Chris ignored the gun shot for the moment, shoving the doors open with a grunt.

Claire had since stumbled backwards, gripping her shoulder in pain. Finally she understood how string Leon must have been to have gotten through Raccoon city intact with a wound this painful.
As the slender redhead fell back, that gave Parker space to reach through, stretching his fingers out to Rebecca as he helped chrisoush the door open.

Rebecca's fingers caught his own, her cheeks and face wet with tears. "Don't let go." She pleaded with him.
Chris had his gun out and was using it against the heads of the men that surrounded him. He wasn't sure what was going on but he was certainly sure it wasn't supposed to.

Parker caught Rebecca's fingers, squeezing them as tight as he could. "I wont let you go... Not again." He promised, the doors open, allowing him to help Chris in clearing the men away now, while somehow still keeping his limited grip on Rebecca.

But it was Rebecca who let go. All at once she was howling in pain and clawing at her chest device. Chris recognized the sound for what it was and was doing everything he could to toss bodies away from her. "Claire....get Jill!" He shouted, as he worked, looking at his sister once in a silent plea for her help.

Claire gritted her teeth and nodded, still pressing a hand to her shoulder to try and keep the wound from simply gushing blood. She was already feeling a little woozy by the time she burst into Jill's room, waking Violet in the process.

Rebecca had suddenly begun to slam her head against the wall of the elevator. As if she knew what was coming. Blood was making art work along the cool metal as she continued to try and kill herself.

"Rebecca!' Parker was trying to pull her back, anything stop the sickening thud. "Please..." He couldn't understand what was going on, as he hadn't seen what Jill had been like.
"It's no use." Claire was looking after Violet, allowing Jill to find them. "The device on her chest, you have to remove it. She can hear you... She just can't do anything about it."

"How the hell do we do that?!" Chris roared, trying to show Jill that this one was just as bad as her own. "Rebecca isn't as strong as you!"
The tiny woman threw an elbow into Parker's face, splattering them both with his blood. That done she went back to hitting her head, her own blood now sliding past her nose and out of her mouth.

Jill narrowed here yes slightly at Chris. "String doesn't have to mean being a soldier!" She shot back, shoving the bleeding Parker aside to turn Rebecca around and pin her back to the wall of the elevator. "Just pull the damn thing off, we can deal with the consequences!" She hissed, though was looking into Rebecca's wild eyes. "I know you can hear me, Rebecca, and I known you can beat this."

"Dead." Rebecca slurred back, fighting as if she were a car about to be thrown in water. "Virus."
"What the hell is she talking about?" Chris grunted as he tried to pull at the device. He had sworn never to go through this again. This was not his idea of a good time.

"Infected?" Jill asked in an almost breathless whisper as she continued to look into Rebecca's eyes. Jill was scared, and that was never a good thing.

"That's weird." Chris muttered in the same moment. "It looks like some kind of a trigger mechanism. Your's didn't have that."
"Stop!" Rebecca howled, though it would seem like she was speaking to the man who was getting to his feet just behind Parker.

Jill pushed Chris away when Rebecca shouted stop. "Trigger?" She echoed. "Is that what she meant? If we take it off... She's infected, or..." Before she could voice her second option, Jill caught sight of the man behind Parker. "Chris... We have to get her out of here. We need to knock her out or something."
