Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

Wesker could barely open his eyes. Even if he hadn't been severely wounded, the anti BOW serum was sapping his strength anyway. What little he could see, allowed him to notice Rebecca strapped to the chair.

Rebecca was feeling rather useless. She failed everyone. This entire event really shouldn't have surprised her. She wondered if maybe it would be best for everyone, even her baby if she allowed Dave to kill her.
"Where's Ruby?" Dave demanded, this time resting a heavy hand against her mid-section. "What have you people done to her this time?"

Wesker's eyes opened further, clearly surprised to hear Dave asking about Ruby, let alone appear to be showing concern for her. This surprise aside, he began to struggle, knowing that Rebecca couldn't give Dave the answer he was looking for.

Rebecca didn't bother to struggle though white hot pain was tearing apart her insides. "Ruby ran away..." She breathed, a tiny line of blood sliding past her lips.
"Liar! I can smell her here!" Dave roared, pushing harder.

Wesker's hands had been bound this time, and so instead he was ramming his shoulder against the tank when he saw the blood trickle past Rebecca lips. pain roared through him, as his shoulder had been badly wounded by one of the zombies. Had he been able to tell Dave that Ruby was mere metres below them, he certainly would have.

Dave turned his head at the sound of Wesker's struggling, a wicked smile sliding over his lips. "That's what I thought." He purred, moving to the foot of the tank. "So you're the one who's been hiding her."

Wesker nodded his head ever so slightly, his eyes locked on Dave's. Let him take the bitch. She was far more trouble than even wesker himself had counted on.

"Where?" Dave asked darkly, the smile gone. "And don't lie to me. I've had enough of that to last me a lifetime, old man."

Wesker's eyes flicked downwards, trying to signal she was in the bio monster holding cells. With a little luck, she was already dead anyway.

Dave nodded. "That's why her scent is so strong from there."
"Albert..." Rebecca was leaning forward in her seat as best she could, betrayal written all over her face. "You have some nerve..."

Wesker was struggling to break free again, signalling an end to any questioning. Dave had his information, all wesker care about now was helping Rebecca.

Dave seemed to lose interest in Wesker as he turned back to Rebecca. "We'll call this insurance." He told the other man, tearing the tiny pregnant woman out of her chair. "If you're lying, your bitch and your...freak kid are dead."

Wesker wasn't lying, of course. After all, Dave hadn't asked if Ruby was alive or not. As it was, the only Redfield-Valentine offspring simply lay in the cell where Wesker had placed her, looking for all the world like she truly was devoid of life. Before wesker had had the nurse give Ruby a lethal dose of something, she had already felt like one of the dead any way.

Dave could sense no life from Ruby and for some reason this seemed to upset him deeply. After he'd finished slamming Rebecca's head into the floor he moved to the slender woman who had been nothing more than a little girl when he'd last seen her.
"Like Snow White." He breathed, though he wasn't sure a kiss would fix this....

Uroboros was keeping Ruby alive, though her heart beat so slowly that no one could sense this. Even her full lips would be somewhat cold to the touch if Dave was indeed to kiss her like a fairy tale princess. When she had still been a small girl, Dave's cruel words about only wanting her if she grew up to be beautiful had deeply affected Ruby, not that he needed have worried; the young woman had seemed to inherit only the best parts of both her parents.

Dave lifted the slender woman into his arms, treating her as if she were made of spun glass. His lips did brush her own but only for a hesitant second. Then he was carrying her far away from Wesker's lab, making sure to stomp on Rebecca's mid-section as he passed her. They would both pay for what they'd done.

Wesker was more than worse for wear by the time he had escaped his confinement and found Rebecca. The usually proud man could barely walk, the anti BOW serum having ravaged his already damaged body. As it was, he forced himself to gently lift Rebecca into his arms, knowing time was of the essence if he was going to save and their child.

Ruby's head was resting against Dave as he carried her, her breathing very slow, though it followed a steady pattern. The waking thought would never occur to her that anyone, least of all Dave, had cared enough to track her down and free her.

The next five months passed in a blur for Rebecca. She spent much of the time in pain and in worry over the fate of her unborn son. Things had been so bad for him already, Dave certainly hadn't helped anything.
When it came time for the actual labor, Rebecca wasn't exactly sure what she was feeling. She knew that her back hurt, but that had become rather normal.
As usual, Albert Wesker was rather moody and distant so she wasn't too sure she wanted to bother him with it.

Wesker had been even more distant than usual as the months drew on. He hadn't been healing as quickly as he thought he would. Each dose of his serum needed to be stronger, and he knew that couldn't continue for much longer. On top of that, he also feared that their son would kill his mother upon entering the world, and without Ruby here, he didn't have much in the way of aiding Rebecca.

Rebecca was climbing into the bathtub when her water broke. She knew she should call for Wesker but instead she mopped up the mess and slid into the warm water, hoping it would ease things a bit.
There was no sense in getting her former lover worried. It would probably be hours before they needed to act.

Like his father, Wesker's offspring did not like to simply be ignored. Rebecca would most certainly not have the hours she hoped for. It would be mere minutes before complications set in.

Five minutes...she'd been allowed five minutes to relax before her extended belly began to feel like it was being torn apart from the inside. She barely had time to reach for the phone before she was screaming in agony, let alone dial the number.
Perhaps this was why she'd never wanted a child of her own...

A female doctor came tearing into the bathroom before wesker got there. Though he had never told Rebecca, he had hired the woman for just this kind of situation. He may have been good with most medical issues, but childbirth was something else entirely.

Rebecca was doing her best to shove herself out of the water before she had the child in the tub. She knew she needed to be somewhere that she could immediately begin a surgery to place the infant's innards back inside his body. She certainly intended to do it all herself.

"Hey, easy there...' The female doctor told Rebecca, quickly at her side to help her from the tub with a bathrobe. "Don't rush like that. Well get you down to surgery and you'll be holding you're son in no time,okay?" She added, her voice gentle and soothing.

"No. I'm fine." Rebecca protested, biting into her lower lip until it bled. "I don't need any help." She grunted, knowing she would be out of time before she reached the labs below. Something was tearing at her stomach and bright red blood was gushing down her thighs.
"He's not coming...is he?" She asked, feeling rather defeated.

"He is." The doctor assured Rebecca, knowing who it was she spoke of. "He's just not as spry as he used to be." She added with a warm smile. "He's probably already waiting for us downstairs." She added, not reactions to the sudden blood too much, knowing Rebecca needed to remain calm.

"Yeah right." Rebecca snorted, feeling rather faint. "You go check. I'll..." She had to sit down before she fainted. It coming too fast. "We're not going to make it. Motherfucker! Nothing ever goes right!"

The doctor touched a finger to the earpiece she wore, commanding someone come and assist in getting Rebecca to the lower levels. "Stop being so melodramatic!" She told the pregnant woman. "You would think you were doing something entirely new, not something woman have done since before our evolution!" She added, simply to downplay the extremely dire situation.

"It's new to me!" Rebecca shouted, instantly wishing she'd used a little less energy. In moments the bed was covered in warm blood and the tiny woman was screaming in agony all over again.
