So slow to catch on

Jill gave Leon a little push, then smiled. "Believe me, these things can last days." She assured him. "Besides, I want the chance to grill you myself."
"You doubt my suitability as a mother?" Claire asked thinly, folding her arms across her chest.

Jill was still sleeping when Chris woke, far more tired than she had let on. The sheet that had been crisp and fresh the night before, was now rumpled and tangled in places. It mostly hung off the bed, though some of it lay draped over Jill's legs, just high enough to also cover her pert bottom.

Chris patiently waited for his friend to answer the phone, his fingers sliding along Jill's slender thigh and moving toward the secret warmth. He couldn't help but grin like a well fed lion.

Jill murmured softly in her sleep, a contented smile spreading across her lips as she slumbered.

Ark had not slept nearly as well as Chris had that night. He worried about Sherry more than he let on, which meant he often slept no more than an hour a night. "What?" He asked gruffly, not the lighthearted man Chris would have remembered.

"Ark?" Chris' tone changed almost instantly and he dropped his hand. He didn't like the way the other man sounded. "What's wrong?"

"Nothing is wrong." Ark replied thinly. "It's still early. Was there something you wanted?" He added.

"Actually, I was hoping that I could bring Jill and come to visit you for the week." Chris said, though he didn't sound as sure about it as he'd been.

"Chris... Now isn't really a good time." Ark replied. "A lot's going on here, it would draw unwanted attention to have you two here."

"Why? Ark, what's going on?" Chris demanded, now more certain than ever that they were making a trip to Florida.

"It isn't safe to tall about over the phone." Ark replied. "I guess I can't really stop you... So yeah, you can stay with me. Just... Keep an open mind, okay?" That said, he hung up.
Jill was awake by the time the call was over, sitting up on her elbows as she watched Chris. "Let me guess... We're not welcome?"

Chris looked toward Jill and blew out air from his cheeks. "I'm not really sure....he sounded really strange and he said something about keeping an open mind. That worries me."

Jill agreed with this. She knelt behind Chris and draped her arms around his neck as she kissed his cheek lightly. "Guess we better get there quick then, huh?"

"Not if you keep that stuff up." Chris groaned, able to feel her bare breasts pressing against his back. "Jill, I still need you."

"And here I thought I had wore you out..." Jill purred, her arms still around Chris as her tongue flicked playfully along the rim of his ear.

"Oh please. You should be warned that it takes a...well alot to tire me out." He purred, grabbing her waist and pulling her around in front of him.

Jill shrieked with laughter, resting her hands against Chris powerful shoulders to steady herself once he had her in his lap. "Well then... I shall just have to try... Harder..." She purred, a hand reaching down to tease her lover gently.

Chris closed his eyes and groaned loudly, his fingers tightening on Jill's hips. "You shouldn't tease me like that." He breathed. "We're never going to get anything done."

"You're right... We should leave right away." Jill purred with a devilish smile. The brunette kissed the tip of her lovers nose lightly and peeled herself from his lap.

Chris dove for her and yanked her back into the bed with him. "Oh we'll be going all right." He purred, spreading her legs and pushing himself inside her in one smooth movement.

Jill's back arched up as her long legs linked around Chris. His name tumbled past her parted lips as her fingers sank into the hard muscle of her lover's back.

It was late that afternoon that Chris and Jill found themselves on Ark's doorstep. Chris was again grinning like an idiot, Ark's cryptic words forgotten for the moment.
It was Sherry who answered the door. The young woman looked extremely worse for wear, as if she'd been crying.

Jill did the very thing that Chris had always hated her doing; she protectively placed herself between him and Sherry. It was as though she somehow remembered what the young woman had done to Chris last time they had met.

"Look, I know you're still mad." Sherry held up her hands, clearly afraid of Jill. "But let me say that he...I thought it was what he told me to do. I can't explain it or anything but, I'm telling the truth."

"Telling the truth about what?" Jill asked thinly, not realising just how intimidating she could be. "Who are you? And what is it you claim my partner asked you to do?"

Sherry cast her eyes toward Chris for a long moment, not sure she understood what Jill was getting at. It seemed to worry her that the elder woman wasn't in complete control as usual.
"Where's Ark?" Chris asked, not answering Jill's questions.

"Of course... Avoid the issue, as always." Jill muttered, unable to shake the sense of loathing that washed over her when she looked at this blonde woman.

"See." Chris said cheerfully as he watched Sherry squirming in the doorway. "You do remember some thing." He teased, patting her bottom as he passed her and then Sherry and into the house.
"Ark is sleeping." Sherry hissed. "I gave him cold medicine."

"You need to drug your boyfriend?" Jill asked, arching her brow slightly as she too entered the house. "Wow... Can you say trust issues?"

"He's not my boyfriend!" Sherry protested, frowning deeply at Jill. "And you would too if your...if someone you cared about refused to sleep. He needed rest. I was doing the right thing!"

"There are other ways to wear a man out, little girl." Jill replied, her gaze drifting as she watched Chris as he walked ahead of them. "Even if he isn't your... Boyfriend."

"Like what?" Sherry asked, now trying to hop ahead of Jill in order to keep her from getting into Ark's room. "I couldn't think of anything else!"
