Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

"Mister Dave!" Ruby exclaimed excitedly as her head tipped back and she looked up at the sound of Dave's voice. "I told My new mommy that you promised you'd marry me when I get tall and beautiful."

"I said if." Dave said firmly, a half smile forming on his lips. "And don't look to her to be your new mommy. She's as big a freak show as the rest of them."

Ruby's lower lip trembled slightly as Dave's words sunk in, her hand reaching for Rebecca's. "Can we go now?" She asked the other woman in an upset whisper. Though Dave was only teasing, the little girl had already taken his words to heart. If only any of them knew that the sweet little girl would grow to have her mothers full lips and shapely figure, as she already had her fathers dark hair and vivid eyes. There would be no mistaking who's child she truly was.

Rebecca shook her head, glaring up at Dave. "Where is Albert?!" She demanded, refusing to look away even though she desperately wanted something to shoot him with.
"Did you know that the monster can remain awake, even when placed in a holding tank?" Dave asked, gesturing toward the corner. Rebecca's heart jerked as she saw her beloved in the holding tank. For a moment she was reminded of the Tyrant.

Ruby shrank back behind Rebecca, holding onto her legs as she peered around them at 'Uncle Albert'. "He looks sick... Is he gonna be okay?" She whispered.

Rebecca's eyes met Wesker's through the glass and she knew he was awake. She nodded slightly with her head, hoping he would see it as a sign that she was all right. "It doesn't look good." She said grimly, though only to appease Dave.

The little girl went running over to the holding tank then, not knowing this wasn't the uncle Albert who had treated her so kindly. How would she even understand that HER uncle Albert was dead, while a man who looked just like him lived on? "Uncle Albert?" She whispered tearfully, tiny hands pressing to the glass.
Wesker didn't even look down at the little girl, his were only on Rebecca. He hadn't wanted her to see him like this.

Dave was grinning from ear to ear, feeling much better about the whole thing. He landed in front of Rebecca, effectively cutting off the eye contact. "Just think of yourself like a piece of equipment from here. I'll tell you the same thing I told everything else. You're under new management."

It was clear in Wesker's yellow eyes that he was doing his best to fight this, though his body seemed unwilling to pay heed to this effort. He was left able to merely glare at Dave's back for the time being.
"What's 'management'?" Ruby asked uncertainly, her bright blue eyes filled with apprehension as they watched Dave.

Dave turned his head and smiled at the little girl over his shoulder. "It's where I'm the boss and everybody has to do what I..." He didn't get to finish this as Rebecca's fist slammed into his nose. It may not have sent him to the ground, but it was enough to spray them both with his blood and awaken a murderous look in his eyes.

"You're not the boss of me!" Ruby declared loudly, running back to Rebecca and grabbing her hand tightly, despite the blood that was covering both adults. "You're a mean man, mr. Dave! And I don't think I want to marry you anymore!" She added, not understanding just how dangerous a situation she and Rebecca were currently in.

Dave's fingers closed around Rebecca's throat before she even had a chance to react to it. With his free hand he grabbed the little girl and sent her sailing backward. That done he slammed the elder female up against the wall, baring his teeth at her. "I should kill you for that." He snarled.

Ruby had slammed into Wesker's holding tank with enough force to crack not just her tiny spine and several other bones in her body... But also the glass that confined wesker. Dave did not have his father's spatial awareness when it came to losing his temper.

Rebecca struggled with everything she had, managing to get a kick into his crotch before he tossed her too. "You will do what I say, bitch!" He howled, stalking toward the door that led to the hall. "Whether you want to or not!"

Wesker's fingers were twitching as he continued to struggle. Pain roared across every one of his nerve ending, most likely Dave had planned it that way, but he couldn't let Rebecca face his monstrous son alone. The broken body of Jill and Chris' daughter wasn't even a thought in his brain right then.

Rebecca laid where she was for a long moment and sighed deeply with relief. It had been easier than she'd thought to get rid of Dave. Groaning softly she pushed to her feet and moved to the broken little girl. "This just isn't my year..." She grunted as she used her injured shoulder to balance Ruby and lay her on a table. "I swear I'm going to scream if one more thing..."
It was her turn not to finish a sentence. Dave reappeared and all but dumped two wailing infants on the table next to Ruby. "Do something with these things. They're giving me a headache."

As though even her broken body knew who these tiny infants were to her, Ruby's small fingers twitched slightly, though she made no other movements. Unfortunately, if the little girl was to be whole again, it would mean she would have to be more like her mother than any of them would like; she would need to be less than human.

Rebecca said nothing to this. She simply took care of the infants, looked after Ruby, and made promises to Wesker she wasn't sure she could keep. A week of trying to heal the little girl and changing diapers was all she needed to remind her of why she hadn't wanted children of her own.
Dave's abusive behavior only reconfirmed this.
Saturday night started as it always did, with her refusing to leave the labs and Dave slapping her as hard as he could manage. If nothing else came of this, she hoped that she made his life miserable enough that he would reconsider taking over another lab.

Rebecca had done an excellent job of healing the more superficial of Ruby's injuries, but the little girl was currently quite far from fixed. She had regained consciousness, but was in constant pain when awake, and so had been sedated.
Wesker knew of everything that was happening to Rebecca, as Dave made a point of striking her only within visual range of the elder man. What the younger Wesker didn't know, was the more his father became enraged, the faster he was regaining control of his limbs.

"I've given you time to play around." Dave said darkly, now pacing the far end of the lab. Rebecca seated herself at the foot of Wesker's holding tank and sighed heavily. She wished things were that simple. When she wasn't caring for the children, she'd been trying to fix her lover and break him free. The encryption codes that Dave had placed on the tank were impossible to break.
"You're going to kill the Uroburos inside me!" He shouted, knowing that Rebecca was no longer listening to him. "You're going to fix me and you're going to do it now!"

Inside his tank, wesker could be seen smiling. Uroboros was perfect, it would never allow itself to be gotten rid of like a common virus. The smile was working its way up to laughter until the elder man threw his head back, bubbles floating upwards, indicating he was indeed laughing.

Rebecca's head shot up, surprise in her eyes. Wesker was finally responding more than simply moving his eyes. This must mean he was feeling a bit better.
This, unfortunately, gave her more hope than it should have. "Fuck you." She answered simply.
Dave's head snapped toward her, the same wicked hate in his eyes. "What did you say?" He snarled.

Wesker's fist suddenly pounded into the already cracked glass, water beginning to squirt out the gaps that were forming. It took two more strikes before the glass shattered, and water landed on the floor. "I believe, boy, that she said fuck you."

Rebecca held her breath and bit her lip so that she didn't break into an enormous grin. It would probably make matters worse.
Dave seemed disturbed by the fact that Wesker had broken free, though not as much as he probably should have been. "Oh look. You finally decided to join the party." He snorted. "What took you so long?"

Wesker rose up to his full height and rolled his shoulders. "I find it rather concerning that my offspring exerts his power by hitting women and children." He remarked, stepping through the broken glass as though it were cotton wool.

"Now you're concerned about your offspring?" Dave hissed, narrowing his eyes. "And that..." He pointed at Rebecca. "That is no woman. Is is little more than a monster...not far off from the man she used to fuck."

Wesker placed himself between Dave and Rebecca, a mocking smile upon his lips. "It strikes me that maybe... You have never known the touch of a woman, it would explain the reason you seem to hate them." He sneered.

Dave's unusually blue eyes were taking on a darker hue. He shifted from one foot to the other, making it clear he was itching for a fight. "You're not healed yet. This will end as it did before." He reminded the other man.

Wesker grinned, feeling he had just found his son's secret. "Are you afraid of women, Dave?" He purred as he moved closer. "Afraid they'll reject you? Die a horrible death like your mother dearest?"

"I'll show you how afraid I am of women!" Dave roared, actually backing away from Wesker. "I'll show you when I take your little bitch and make you watch!"
Behind her lover, Rebecca Chambers began to laugh.
