Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

Ruby reached out, trying to wipe the blood away. "I was never supposed to be... It's okay that no one loves me, or ever will. Monsters were never meant for that." She breathed. "You'll do better with this kid... The one you created out of love." She added, forgetting that Rebecca didn't even know she was pregnant.
"Or what?" Wesker purred. "Are you prepared to take that chance? To risk dear Ark's life?"

"No kid...I sent them back..." Rebecca mumbled, coughing on the blood. "Not mine...I hurt someone else..."
Sherry's eyes were watering and her teeth were bared. "I hope she dies and that seed she's carrying dies with her!" She hissed.

"Go running back to your boyfriend, you're good at it." Wesker sneered at Sherry, deeming her no longer important.
Ruby was about to reassure Rebecca, when wesker came striding over, picking the elder woman up. Without so much as a word he slammed his foot into Ruby's jaw, rendering her unconscious.

Rebecca's head hung limply against Wesker's arm. She could no longer feel the heat his body had put off. "I'm so weak..." She muttered, her eyes rolling in her head. "It's no wonder...you sent me...away."

"Don't try to talk. Save your strength." Wesker told her, not wishing to go into the details of how much he hated himself for the things he had said to her.
Ruby would find herself in the very hospital she had been going to enter to find a way to kill Rebecca's child. Doctors obviously thought she would remain in a coma for some time, as the Jane Doe was left in one of the lower level coma wards.

The doctors were not overly confident that Rebecca would survive, much less the fate of her unborn child. She was so newly pregnant that her body had yet to build up anything to protect it.
The doctor standing next to Wesker simply shook his head, not sure what he was supposed to say. "You'd better call your wife's family." He said softly.

"There would be little use in calling myself, now wouldn't there?" Wesker asked the doctor icily. "I don't care what happens to the child... Just save my wife."

"We're doing all we can." The doctor returned, his tone taking a momentary dark note. "Like I said, we are not going to promise anything. Her head injuries are extremely severe."

"Doing all you can is simply not good enough!" Wesker insisted, not liking the tone to the doctor's voice. "If she does... You die. Do I make myself clear?"

"You can't threaten me like that!" The doctor roared, his face going an odd shade of red. "Who do you think you are?!"

"As far as you are concerned, I am god." Wesker replied with a dark smile. "Now fix my wife."

"What I'm going to do is call the cops, you crazy bastard." The doctor hissed, turning to make a mad dash for the nurses' station. "You probably did that to your wife!"

Wesker was at the nurses station before the doctor got there. "Could you still tell them that after I rip your tongue out?" He asked calmly.

The doctor's eyes went wide and he looked back at the place Wesker had been and then back again. "You...you can see her now..." He stuttered, making it clear he had no intention of calling the police or anyone else. This time he believed the other man.

"I am glad we finally see eye to eye." Wesker remarked, lowering his dark glasses for a brief second to allow the doctor to see his yellow eyes.

The doctor's own eyes looked like they were going to pop out of his head. "Uh-huh." He muttered, pointing across the hall to Rebecca's room.
The tiny woman was all but buried beneath wires. For the moment she was left alone and the silence was deafening. Rebecca hated to be quiet, she often talked to herself so she wouldn't have to hear the silence. It was clear by her monitor readings that even unconscious she didn't care for it.

"You would hate it here." Wesker remarked as he entered Rebecca's room. "I see sanitary violations everywhere I turn, and I can all but taste the MRSA in the air."

Rebecca's fingers twitched but there was nothing else to assure Wesker that she had heard him.

"I didn't mean to send you away." Wesker continued, sitting down beside Rebecca's bed. "I... Was just so angry, and promise not to tell anyone... But scared too. It had been so long since I had last been human, it made me feel weak. Like I was no longer able to protect you."

Rebecca's fingers moved again, this time toward the edge of the bed where she believed him to be. "My head...hurts..." She managed to say, coughing against the tube in her throat.

"You were quite badly damaged by that idiot girl." Wesker replied, squeezing the tiny finger that were reaching for him. "Don't try and talk, just rest. I'll be right here."

And Rebecca did rest. The doctors could never give Wesker a straight answer as to whether she was going to live or not and they certainly couldn't tell him the fate of their unborn child. Finally, after a month had passed, she opened her eyes.

As wesker had promised, he was right there when Rebecca woke up. Just as he had been for most of the month. The only time he had really left her bedside was to seek out the Jane Doe he knew was in the coma ward. Every week or so he had gone to visit her, though it was merely to ensure she remained in her dreamless sleep. At least, he assumed it was dreamless.

Rebecca woke to darkness, something she was still very familiar with. For a moment she believed that she was alone and back in Ark Thompson's spare bedroom. She was reminded that Wesker had sent her away, that he thought her weak and useless. The memory had her in tears before her eyes were fully opened.

"Now now, what did I always tell you about tears?" Wesker asked hi young lover gently when he realised she was awake. "They accomplish nothing, and even one as beautiful as you looks dreadful when sobbing."

"Albert?" Rebecca's head swam as she tried to turn over and look at her lover. "Oh god...Albert...you're here." That said she took a moment to look around her and she realized where she was. "How long?" She asked, picking at the wires that all but kept her tied down.

Wesker gently peeled Rebecca's fingers from the wires and kept hold of them in a firm grip. "It isn't important, but you have been here a month." He told her gently.

Rebecca frowned at this and tried to sit up, her back screaming at her to move. "Where's the chart?" She asked, looking around to see if a doctor had left it some where.

"You are not looking at it." Wesker informed her, gently pushing her back down. "You suffered severe trauma, and will rest until recovered. It seems it is true what they say... Doctors make the worst patients"

Rebecca blushed at this, while still trying to give Wesker a stern look. "Albert, I deserve to know what they're giving me and what they're doing to me." She said firmly. "They could be screwing up."
