Parker smiled at Chris slightly, patting him on the shoulder. "For what it's worth... I'm sorry too. I was so obsessed with finding Alex... I didn't stop to see the signs. I should have found out Jill was pregnant... Had I known that..." He paused and ran his fingers through his hair. "I do blame myself for what happened to her."

Chris never responded to this. As soon as they were inside the building he muttered something about needing to get Parker certified and left the other man to navigate the holding cells alone.
Jessica, it seemed, had been waiting all day and half the night for him. She visibly brightened when he was let into her cell. "Parker!" She gushed, leaping to her feet to throw her arms around him. "I knew you wouldn't let me down!"

"I can't see you with kids of your own." Jessica scoffed. "Can you? I mean just look at what you did that boy. You basically sent him to the man who's been moving hell and earth to get to him." Her fingers tightened roughly in Parker's hair, her nails digging into his scalp. "He has her. All he needed was the boy. You've lost, Parker. You always lose."

Though he begrudged hitting a woman, Parker slammed his first into Jessica's midsection, only so she would release him. "You don't even know where Alex is! You expect me to slip up and disclose his location!"

Jessica fell on her bottom and began gasping for air, though it was partly because she was laughing. "He wouldn't be at Ms. Medigismith's boarding school, would he?"

"Why would I send him to a stuck up place like that?" Parker asked, hoping Jessica didn't see the surprise in his honey brown eyes.

Jessica couldn't help but laugh. She knew she would be killed for it but she had to tell him. "The school was built for him. Didn't you know that? It was built pretty much overnight and right under your nose! Albert Wesker even sent that snotty woman to your house to tell you that Alex was exceptional and deserved to be there. Even though it's true...did you really think they would just find him from a stupid test? What Albert Wesker wants, he gets. And he wanted his son. You...failed. You always fail, Parker. You're just a fat...worthless loser."

Though her words were scathing, they still didn't hurt as much as Alex's last words to him. "Hey, Jessica? I owe you one." Parker told the shapely double agent as he pulled his gun. "I'd say tell Wesker I'm coming... But I guess he already knows." He added, shooting her in the thigh.

Chris was there when Parker opened the door. He'd seen the whole thing and he could still hear Jessica howling. "You're supposed to shoot her after you find out where Rebecca is." He laughed, gently patting the other man on the shoulder. "Lucky for you, I think I have an idea."

Parker holstered his weapon and shrugged his shoulder. "She was begging for it, along with several other things." He remarked. "You had a lucky escape with her, I promise you that."

"I always thought you two were good together." Chris shrugged. "Rebecca makes sense and all but Jessica...isn't she every nerd's dream?"

"Get past the breasts she shoves in your face and the barely there clothing... Jessica is about as deep as a puddle of piss." Parker muttered.

Chris nodded at this. "god I miss Jill." He whispered, unable to help himself. "Listen..." He paused, trying to shake the sudden sadness off. "Someone found an open GPS signal coming from one of our transmitters. I have no doubt it's Rebecca's. The problem is its not coming from Africa but Italy. I think you'd be better off starting there than heading into something that might not get you anywhere."

"I talk about barely there clothing and puddles of piss... And your first thought is Jill?" Parker asked, seeming somewhat confused. He took a moment to process the other information Chris had told him, then rubbed at his temples. "How did they manage to get her out of Africa and all the way to Italy?"

"Rebecca is worth more alive than dead." Chris said matter of factly. "it would make sense that she would be taken to some kind of controled area. It will be near impossible to get in... You should really take a partner."

The look Parker gave Chris was proof enough what he thought about this idea. "Are you taking a partner to Africa with you?"

Chris nodded. "She's a local that knows the area and the people better than I do..." He paused and gave a soft laugh. "I guess you'll blend in pretty well in Italy though, right?"

"I don't know... At that party, my mother thought I had become too 'American'." Parker replied ith a chuckle. "She said I had been here too long and it was time I came home. Well... Looks like all these months later, she finally got her wish."

"This isn't going to be any kind of vacation, Parker." Chris told him softly, handing him another gun and a backpack full of ammo. "You bring Becky back to us and yourself too. Got it?"

"I hope you find Jill, I really do." Parker replied as he shouldered the bag. "For what it's worth... I could really see how happy she made you, and how happy you made her."

"To tell you the truth, Parker... I think I'm heading to my death. I don't really think I'll find Jill until it's over." Chris whispered, walking away from the other man.

Parker wanted to stop Chris. He wanted to knock him out and dump him on the flight he was taking to Italy. But he knew it would do no good. Chris had died the day Jill went missing, anyone could see it. "Hey, if you die... I'm coming after your partner!"

"Thanks." Chris waving to the other man over his shoulder. "At least I know she'll be in good hands."

Three days later Chris would find himself in the middle of an African hell. He didn't know what was going on but he did know that this was bigger than anything he'd faced before.

Parker would find himself in Italy, applying for a security job with Tricell Pharmaceutical.

Wesker was too involved with keeping track of Jill's progress in spreading the Uroboros, along with keeping updated on Alex and Violet, to even notice that Chris Resfield was in Africa at all.

Parker hated this. He wanted to be Chris for once. He wanted to be the hero, running in, guns blazing, all to save the woman he loved. Instead... He was at a job interview. Oh yes, he was the hero alright.

Chris faced death more times in the first twenty four hours than he ever had before. Each time he prayed for it to take him and every time he was given another chance. He hated death.

Excella too had her hands dipped in many projects. Just now she was seated in an interview room, frowning down at a piece of paper. She would be heading to Africa in a few hours and it was all she could do to keep herself calm and collected. "Why are you here?" She asked the man across from her. "Who told you about us?"

Jill was screaming as always, and just like the last time... No one could hear her. She hated having to assist this idiot. How he became a black market dealer was beyond her. Already she had had to save him, and from all people... Chris. It pained her that he had been right there... And she could do nothing to reach out and touch him.

Parker smiled at the woman across from him, having not expected a question like that one. "A friend of mine worked for your company, she told me it was a wonderful place to work." He relied, his native language now feeling strange on his tongue. Perhaps his mother had been right.

Chris knew only that he didnt care for the cloaked figure. He had. O idea that the figure was the very one he was looking for.

Excella snorted at this and shook her head. "no job is fun unless you are a hooker." she said crassly. "are you married, have children?"

Jill had hoped that over the years she would become numb to the things Wesker forced her to do. She was still waiting. As it was... Hope was something she had truthfully long ago abandoned.

"No." It was only as he answered that question that Parker had to wonder; was it really a lie? He and Rebecca were married in name only, and Alex wasn't even his son.

Chris felt better once they were standing on the boat, chasing after the strange looking man with the high pitched voice. He'd been tempted to simply put a bullet through his head and later explain he thought he'd become a zombie.
This only lasted, of course, until the other man became something far worse than a zombie. "Jill would have a field day with this one." He chuckled to himself.

"Good." Excella said, smoothing down the skin tight dress that left nothing to the imagination. "Less to write on your obituary." She added, getting to her feet. "Tell me how you feel about pharmaceutical companies and be honest." She said with a purr, leaning over the desk to give him a clear view of the valley between her breasts.

Jill had a clear view from her own vessel not too far away, and was silently cursing Chris' name. Why won't you just shoot him?! if for no other reason... She hated the way he leered at her.

Parker made no effort to hide the fact he was taking a good look at Excella's breasts, anyway, she had all but pushed them in his face. He was unable to help but suddenly smile, wondering if Jessica ever wore a dress like this one. "I have no real opinion." He finally replied truthfully. "I can't pretend to understand what they do, but I also can't deny the results enrich the lives of the masses."

Sheva and Chris found themselves finally putting to rest the monster that remained of the strange man. And then they were following his direction to the next location, though Chris was finally starting to hold out for hope that this really did go as deep as Rebecca had tried to tell him.

"I like your answer." Excella purred, standing back and heading toward the door. "You'll be working on the fourth floor basement level. I'll get you your clearance and you'll start now. One rule. Never ask questions and do not speak to anyone in cells. It will only lead to trouble for you."

Parker nodded, though of course h planned on breaking those rules the moment he could. If he had to, he would open every cell in the building to find Rebecca. To hell with what was inside them.
