"I wanted you when you were still finding your feet in the world, is that not in itself enough?" Wesker replied, surprised to find he was gently stroking his fingers through Rebecca's hair.

Wesker laughed again. "I'm sorry, little princess, but it will indeed be boat by which we travel the rest of the way." He confirmed as they moved out into the hallway. "Much less inconspicuous than a personal chopper."

Rebecca made a face at this, hoping Wesker wouldn't see. "So what kind of facility was...is this? This whole island is like something out of Jurassic Park!"

Wesker laughed again. "Jurassic park... I like that. Maybe my research should turn towards dinosaurs instead?" He teased.

Rebecca nodded her head. "Given your age and all, you might." She teased in return, unable to hide her mischievous grin.

"My, my, then what does it say about a woman who sleeps with a dinosaur?" Wesker teased, tweaking Rebecca's nose playfully.

Rebecca blushed deeply at this, shaking her head. "You are truly terrible, Albert Wesker. I hope you know that."

"Millions would agree with you." Wesker replied, again pulling Rebecca along for her 'tour' of the facility. "But then, they would also think you terrible for wanting this crusty old dinosaur."

Rebecca pulled Wesker to a stop, though she was sure it was only because he allowed it. "Screw them." She breathed, sliding her fingers around his neck and bringing him down to her level. "Or maybe that should be...screw me..." She finished with a purr.

Wesker grinned, pushing Rebecca back against the wall, his hands resting either side of her head. "I love it when you talk dirty with those sweetly innocent lips." He purred.

Rebecca woke up late that night with the ground shifting and groaning beneath her. She sat up straight, bathed in a cold sweat. It was just like being on the train...she hadn't thought of the train in years. But right now it came roaring back and all she wanted to do was throw the covers over her head.

Wesker lay beside his lover, for once he had actually fallen to the lull of slumber. Perhaps it had been too long, or perhaps she was simply good for him. Either way, he missed the rise in Rebecca's heartbeat as she was dragged back to thoughts of her past.

Rebecca shoved out of the bed and stumbled across the room, the floor sending her into a direction she hadn't meant to go. A moment later she was headed back to the other side. Wearily she manged to make it to the door. "Go ahead, Miss Do It Yourself..." The memory of Billy's voice slammed into her mid-section and again the guilt returned. She'd been the death of a man she'd loved.
She was actually glad when another pitch of the floor sent her tumbling back to the bed. This time she did throw the covers over her head, willing the entire world to stop spinning.

The stumbling finally caught Wesker's attention and he opened one yellow eye as Rebecca tumbled into the bed, the covers flying over her head a moment later. He could feel the slender woman all but trembling beside him, and gently slid an arm around her. "I see you didn't bring your sea legs with you." He mused, pulling her closer against his cool flesh.

Despite her violent shivering, Rebecca clung to Wesker's cool form. Unlike everything else he wasn't moving and that was a good thing. "Should have warned me first." She muttered against his chest, still holding to him tightly.

"I did, I told you we would be leaving the facility by boat." Wesker replied, his cool fingers lazily tracing Rebecca's spine. "I just didn't say when."

Rebecca found herself relaxing under the comforting stroke of her lover's fingertips. She was able to allow her body to go limp against his own. At least until the boat rocked. Then she was hanging onto him for dear life all over again.

"I thought you could handle anything, little miss do it yourself?" Wesker asked, though wasn't exactly certain why he had just used such an out of character phrase. It was almost like... It had simply been hanging in the air.

Even the way he'd spoken the words was strange. It was enough to have Rebecca moving away from him and taking the sheet with her. "That's not funny." She hissed.

"It wasn't supposed to be." Wesker replied, not understanding the connection between Billy and those words. "Don't get yourself all in a bunch, we're on a boat, you can't hide because I apparently said something that displeased you."

"I'm not hiding." Rebecca snapped, off the bed and doing her best to search for her clothes. "You're the one making fun of me." She added with a glare over her shoulder.

"How did I make fun of you?" Wesker demanded as he sat up, reaching for his own pants on the floor.

"Saying things that you know Billy said." Rebecca muttered, yanking a pair of jeans over her tiny hips. "You killed him. Isn't that enough? Do you have to keep driving it home? He's dead. For godsake, Captain!"

"That's what this is about? That retarded marine?!" Wesker suddenly boomed, almost like he was jealous.

"I cared about him! That's why you killed him!" Rebecca shouted back, not sure why she was suddenly so very upset. She was acting irrational and she knew it. "He promised to protect me!"

"So you felt the need to offer him something in payment?" Wesker asked icily. "There is a word for women who do that..."

"Yeah I know, you've called me a whore before." Rebecca snarled, looking for something to throw at him. "But just so you know...I never did anything with him. A kiss is not that bad!"

"Why would you even kiss him?!" Wesker demanded. "Other than the foolish thought that youbwere going to die!"

"I didn't kiss him until I'd seen him again a few years later. Not that it is any of your business." Rebecca muttered, yanking a shirt of Wesker's over her head. "You shot me. You wanted me dead, remember? Why should you care what I did when you were busy serving yourself?" She added, stumbling until she managed to make it to the door and slam it behind her.

"I shot because he wouldn't risk hisnown life for yours." Wesker breathed after she had slammed the door. It was the truth, he had killed Billy when the younger man had refused to risk discovery and settle into a life with Rebecca.
