"I wanted you when you were still finding your feet in the world, is that not in itself enough?" Wesker replied, surprised to find he was gently stroking his fingers through Rebecca's hair.

Again Rebecca searched Wesker's face, desperate for him to say the words she knew he wouldn't. "Well? Are you going to do it or not?" She asked finally.

"Not." Wesker replied, despite his desire to. "If Urorboros takes control, I will have lost you forever. I cannot allow that."

Rebecca sighed, allowing herself to fall back against the sheets. "We still need to talk about what happened in Africa, you know." She reminded him, again fighting with a wave of nausea. "How is it that Chris and Jill think they killed you...but I found you safe and sound in the cockpit?"

"Care to count how many times dear old Chris has been so certain he killed me?" Wesker asked, setting the vial, and the box, aside so he could lay down beside Rebecca. "And as for Jill... It's not like she was in the right mind about anything."

"I'm not saying they were." Rebecca laughed softly, scooting closer to Wesker and sliding an arm across his mid-section. "I'm just dying to know why I saw two pf my beloved Captains getting onto a plane on my hacked surveillance. I at least deserve to know what I was keeping a secret from them."

"Is that what you think?" Wesker chuckled as his fingers traced across the slender arm draped over his midsection. "I believe you already know the truth." He added, glancing down into her face. "Not just with what you saw, but things Chris may have told you, and not realised how significant they were?"

Rebecca nodded slowly. "Oh I know. I just wanted to hear you say it." She laughed, kissing the edge of his jaw. "Excella had no idea who or what....she was really playing with, did she?"

Wesker couldn't help but smirk. "Most of the time, it was a what." He replied. "She bored me, I could never stand to be around her myself.

Rebecca nodded, proving she'd suspected as much. "All the communications we got between you and her...I could always tell. His voice was never like yours. It was missing something. It really surprises me that I'm the only one who heard it. But then again...none of the others worshipped you the way I did. You'll never know how happy I was when I heard you were still alive. Even if...I could never show it. You're right." She went on. "I can't imagine what would have become of me if they'd known about us. Maybe...what you did was for the best after all..."

Wesker said nothing for the longest of moments. Rebecca's words were so heartfelt, that he almost felt guilty for what he had done. "You know Chris... He would have insisted I had brainwashed you, or something similar. Things were always black and White for him, never grey."

"I wish I had been able to make him understand that there is no such thing as black and white." Rebecca whispered, holding tightly to Wesker for another long moment.

"His kind are never able to grasp the concept, any effort would have been in vain. That is what makes he and Jill so different; Chris is a hero, Jill is a survivor." Wesker replied, not quite ready to let Rebecca escape the security of his arms.

"And we're the villains. Right?" Rebecca asked with a laugh. "Or at least...you are. I think I'm just the pawn piece."

"I believe you... In training." Wesker replied with a chuckle. "There are no real villains, just people with ideas." He added. "The supposed heroes are the ones who crush the dream."

"Yours was a reality until Chris had to go and act like a dumbass." Rebecca snorted. "I tried to shut down his systems before he got that far...It's like I said though...I suck at the mechanical stuff. But...I'm guessing you weren't planning on it making it all the way anyway. Not if you sent your doppelganger in there to try and finish the job."

"The moment Jill informed me of Chris' presence, I knew I had to use my doppelgänger. I had out too much time and effort in to have Redfield get lucky and take me out." Suddenly he snorted with laughter. "I didn't count on him freeing Jill though."

"Does that mean that you want her back?" Rebecca asked almost carefully. She wasn't sure she wanted to know the answer.

"No, not her, just her blood." Wesker replied, picking up a hint of jealousy in Rebecca's voice. "She was the perfect breeding ground for anything I cared to infect her with."

"We'll find another." Rebecca said thoughtfully, sitting up and positioning herself across Wesker's hips. "For now though...I think we have other things to discuss." She added with a purr, pressing her lips to his before he could respond.

Wesker grinned, his own fingers coming to rest upon Rebecca's slender hips. "I hope our discussion involves as littletalking as it used to..." He purred in reply, rolling Rebecca beneath him as his fingers traced down the smooth planes of her svelte body.

Mexico was everything Rebecca remembered. She fell in love with the resort all over again. Little had changed in the ten years since they'd last been there.
A wedding was taking place on the beach not far from the hotel and it was all Rebecca could do not to drag Wesker to it. Instead she managed to follow him silently into the hotel, balking at the idea that the staff wanted them to stay in the honeymoon suite.

"This means, either I haven't changed, or you're getting old." He teased gently as he slid his arm around Rebecca's tiny waist, kissing her lightly as they walked to the elevator.

"Not all of us have the option of serums that keep us young, darling." Rebecca shot back sweetly. "Anyway, I'm still younger than you were the last time we were here." She added with a wicked smile.

Wesker growled playfully at this, pressing his young lover against the elevator wall as the doors slid shut. "I have killed people for less than that..." He purred against her sweet tasting lips.

Rebecca again found herself waking alone. As night fell over the Mexican beach she woke to find Wesker gone. It reminded her of the last time they'd been there. He'd left her then too.
Finding she'd been left with some money, she pulled on her clothes and headed down to the shops to explore. She needed a bikini. It had been forever since she'd dared to buy one.

"You came to Mexico with no swimwear?" A young man who worked in one of the stores asked Rebecca when he saw her browsing the bikinis.

Rebecca laughed and nodded her head. "I was in such a hurry to get here I forgot. Not to mention I was looking for something a little different...something to cover the upper part of my chest maybe?" She asked, now blushing deeply. "You know...ugly scar and all that..."

The young man smiled and shook his head. "I find it hard to believe there is anything ugly about you." He replied gently. "So, what made you leave wherever it was you came from in such a hurry?"

"Met an old flame." Rebecca smiled. Though she didn't realize it, it was the kind of smile that had men melting at her feet. It wasn't one she wore very often. "I was hoping to stir something in him. You know, remind him what he was missing."

The young man was grinning even more, clearly already imagining Rebecca in very much less than a bikini. "An old flame, huh? Don't know how he would ever let one like you get away!"
