"I wanted you when you were still finding your feet in the world, is that not in itself enough?" Wesker replied, surprised to find he was gently stroking his fingers through Rebecca's hair.

Rebecca made a face at this, still looking over the bikinis. "He had things to take care of, a life to build for himself. It's what we all do, right?" She asked, finally selecting a tiny blue number that oddly reminded her of the uniform Wesker had once worn.

"Not alone we don't." The young man replied seriously. "If he was building a life, shouldn't it have included you, also?"

Cinnamon colored lashed brushed her cheeks as Rebecca reacted to the young man's words. They hurt more than she'd expected them to. "How would he know how much he needs me if he wasn't forced to live without me?" She asked after a long moment, smiling as she held out her choice to him.

"Does he know how much he needs you now?" The young man asked, carefully taking Rebecca's selection from her to take it over to the cash register.

"Isn't that what I told you I was hoping to make him realize?" Rebecca asked with a laugh. A dark feeling was settling in the pit of her stomach, reminding her that Wesker really didn't need her. It was she who found him, not the other way around.

The young man laughed too, though there was no real joy to it. "Here, call it a gift." He told her, handing over a bag with the swimwear choice inside. "I hope he is worth all your worries, miss."

Rebecca was rather flabbergasted at this. No one ever simply gave her anything. She blushed deeply and took the bag. "Thank you very much." She said softly, slipping out of the store with her cheeks still a bright red.

Wesker would still be able to detect a pink glow to Rebecca's cheeks the next time he saw her. At first he thought maybe she had simply been out in the sun a little too long without protection, but that notion soon faded.

Rebecca's attitude probably wouldn't help matters. She'd been rather distant and far off once she'd returned. She had ended up simply tumbling onto the bed and falling asleep, her shopping bag held tightly in her arms.

As she slept, wesker peeled the back out of her hands, curious what she would be wishing to keep from him. His suspicious mind didn't for a second consider everything she did... Was for his approval.

"A gift..." Rebecca muttered in her sleep, turning so that she was lying on her flat belly, her pert bottom now on display.

Wesker opened the bag and peered inside, then looked at Rebecca with a bemused expression. "I don't think it's really my size..." He mused, a cool hand patting Rebecca's bottom lightly.

"Huh?" Rebecca's eyes shot open and she all but tumbled out of the bed. "Wait no...that's not yours." She said quickly, yanking the bag away from him. Her deep blush returned. "I got you something else but...you can't see it yet."

"Why not?" Wesker asked, puzzled by Rebecca's strong reaction to him looking in the bag.

"It's just that...I changed my mind." Rebecca said almost sadly, leaning over to stuff the bag under the bed. "I'll take it back tomorrow. By the way..." She was going to do her best to change the subject. "Where did you go yesterday?"

Wesker reached under the bed and pulled the bag out again. "Without even trying it on for me?" He asked, purposefully ignoring her question.

"I don't think it will look like I'm thinking..." Rebecca said quickly, trying to get the bag away from him. "Albert, please. I got caught up in the moment and the guy was...nice." She added, blushing all over again. "I wasn't thinking about how it would really make me look."

"Guy?" Wesker asked thinly, clearly already jealous. "What guy? Did you try it on for him?"

Rebecca couldn't resist prodding the jealousy she heard in her lover's voice. She'd never heard it before...from anyone. She was helpless against the teasing that followed. Although...if she'd thought about what it might mean for the young man...she might have changed her mind.
"Of course I did. I'm not going to just buy something." She laughed. "He said I looked amazing and that my boyfriend would be crazy to let me wear it out to the beach." She added, blushing at the very idea of trying anything on in front of a stranger.

Wesker certainly wasn't smiling. In fact, he was positively seething. "Did you even ask his name before you practically got naked for him?"

Rebecca had to think about this. She blinked several times as surprise swept over her. She certainly hadn't asked his name. At this she all but turned purple. "I didn't think to." She admitted. "He was so charming it just never crossed my mind."

Wesker Rose to his feet this time. "So charming you did what? Fucked him right there in the store?!" He snarled. Jealousy was not a good colour on him.

Rebecca's blinks turned confused and she shook her head. "I only said I showed it to him. What gives you the idea that I screwed him?"

"Forget it." Wesker replied icily. It was already too late, he could already picture Rebecca and this mystery man in each others arms. He was heading for the door again, knowing he would not be able to control his anger indefinitely, he never could when it came to Rebecca.

Rebecca was now even more confused. So much so that her head hurt. "Albert..." She got off the bed and moved toward him, terrified he was simply going to leave her here alone.

"Rebecca... It is in your best inerest to stay away from me right now." Wesker warned, not turning back to her. What Rebecca didn't know, was the things wesker planned to do to the young man in the store. The name of the store was on the bag she had brought back, which was unfortunate.

When Wesker returned that night he would find the door to their room locked tight. Even a manager's key didn't get him in. The young woman had locked it several times, including the security lock.
The manager shook his head several times and gave Wesker a sheepish look. "I...can do nothing else but let you call her..." He muttered.

"Let her play her childish games. Get me another room, I shall call her from there." Wesker instructed the manager, acting as though he were a visiting royal.

It was soon after that that Wesker would find his clothing lying in the hallway outside his new room. Though they had taken little with them, it was enough to have a few pair of undergarments lying out for everyone to see.

Wesker groaned, muttering something about the benefits of going commando at times like these. He didn't even bother to pick the items up, instead he was already dialling the extension number for Rebecca's room.
