"I wanted you when you were still finding your feet in the world, is that not in itself enough?" Wesker replied, surprised to find he was gently stroking his fingers through Rebecca's hair.

In the air, wesker continued to smile to himself. Once again he had come out on top, with everything he wanted. "This thing won't get us all the way to Mexico." He warned Rebecca. "We shall have to stop and find alternative transport on the way."

Rebecca nodded, forgetting for a moment that Wesker might not be able to see her do this. She was fussing over Peter for the moment, but it was more to catch a glimpse at the device that had been placed on him than anything else. That fool Chris had tossed Jill's away. He truly had no idea what he'd had in his hands.

I have the blueprints you can look at." Wesker remarked when he saw Rebecca admiring the device. "It's not all that complex, now the drug inside it, that is something else entirely."

Rebecca nodded. "I thought so...actually I was hoping. I'm shit with electronics. But give me a good compound substance..." She gave a soft laugh. "The color is beautiful. Was that intentional?"

Wesker laughed quietly. "The most dangerous things often are beautiful." He replied. "But no, it was not intentional."

"It's no wonder I'm not dangerous." Rebecca whispered, poking at her button nose. "It explains Excella Gionne though."

"Excella wasn't beautiful." Wesker told Rebecca sternly. "She was all breasts and nothing else." He added. "And you are wrong, you have the most dangerous kind of beauty of all. You are so very sweet, and innocent, no one would suspect you of anything."

Rebecca didn't look at Wesker as he spoke. His words made her feel rather guilty. She was supposed to be one of the good guys. But here she was...doing the worst possible thing that she could. And all because she felt mistreated...
"Where do you plan on stopping at?" She asked finally, hoping for a change in her thoughts as well as in subject.

"There is a small island I have used as a base in the past. It is mostly deserted, though there are certainly failed experiments wandering around." He replied. "We have the choice of either refuelling, or simply sailing the rest of the way."

Rebecca looked rather uncertain at this idea. Sailing made her stomach churn and she was horrified for especially Wesker to see her seasick. However, she simply shrugged, pretending either way was fine with her. "Failed experiments?" She asked after a long moment. "What kind are we talking about?" This was certainly better than thinking of sailing.

"You think the experiment I performed on Jill was a success first time?" Wesker asked with a smirk. "Or that I knew what Uroboros was the moment I laid eyes on it?"

"I saw through the video feeds we'd hacked into what Uroburos was capable of." Rebecca admitted. "It was...amazing but...I wish we could make it more compatible with the human DNA. It's great that it takes out the weak but...taking out too many does no one any good."

"Perhaps you have a point." Wesker agreed. "As a species, the human race is geneitally weaker than Uroboros, which would mean we would somehow have to weaken Uroboros itself, correct?"

"And yet...that would almost be a shame. Such a strong virus...maybe there's a way to help it stand on its own?" Rebecca countered, pleased to finally have another brilliant mind to bounce her ideas off of.

Wesker was nodding. "But it begins it's existence as a parasite, we would need to remove it's dependant nature."

Rebecca grinned in spite of herself. Wesker didn't seem to want to impede her nature as so many had. He didn't look at her strangely when she told him her ideas. Not as Chris had. "I'm sure we can work something out." She purred. "But I'll need a strong subject to use...to give the parasite a taste of the survival gene..."

Wesker glanced at Rebecca with his brow arched in amusement. "Can we not give it your DNA and see what happens?"

Rebecca's smile faded and she gave Wesker a horrified frown. "Why on earth would we do that. It would only get swallowed up anyway. If you'd succeeded in releasing Uroburos...I'd have been the first to go."

"Chris really has tried his best to break you, hasn't he?" Wesker replied sadly. "Rebecca, brute strength is not the defining reason for one surviving. You came through he'll before Chris and his supposed rescue of you. You are far stronger than him, take his gun away, and Chris Redfield is worthless."

"He's always had emotional attachments and family to back him that I could never dream of." Rebecca whispered, keeping her vision locked onto the sky ahead of them. "I've always been alone. Well...except for the months I was your closet lover."

"Rebecca, you misunderstand. Our affair was kept secret for your sake. What do you think Chris and his self righteous band of false heroes would have done to you after the mansion incident if they had known you were my lover?" Wesker replied honestly. "And besides, Chris kept Jill a secret from you all for months too."

"Only an idiot would have missed that." Rebecca snorted. "And Albert...you're lying. You didn't expect any of us to survive that mansion ordeal. I always knew you were embarrassed to claim me. I don't blame you. Okay?"

Wesker chuckled at Rebecca's comment about idiots. "Quite, target practice never was the place to be shedding each others clothing." He remarked. "But you were different, I was torn about your survival. I knew you needed to die, but it by no means meant that was what I wanted."

"And that's why you shot me." Rebecca snorted, rolling her eyes. "That makes perfect sense." She added, now picking at a frayed edge of her jeans. "Nevermind...there's no sense in beating a dead horse. "We're past that now. At least until you try it again."

"You could try it... For a change." Wesker replied, smiling again. "I know you can't really be as innocent as you look. Tell me you never got even a small thrill shooting all this monsters?"

Rebecca shook her head. "I'd rather create them than kill them. I was never one for killing." She admitted.

"We can work on that." Wesker purred, offing Rebecca's hand up and he brushed his lips lightly against her finger tips. "Every human has the killing instinct, it is the only reason our ancestors survived."

"I'd rather..." Rebecca stopped before she said something to embarrass herself further, a deep blush all but giving her away. "Are we there yet?" She pressed, desperate to again change the subject.

"Oh, but I know what you would rather." Wesker chuckled, leaning closer to steal a hungry kiss from Rebecca.

Rebecca surprised herself by returning the kiss, even as she felt the helicopter shifting slightly toward the ground. She trusted Wesker to keep her safe, even after everything he'd done to her. This time was really no different. It was why she ignored the shuddering of the chopper as his powerful arms slid around her.
