Precious memories

Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

"Why does everyone hate me?" Ruby whispered, her eyes filled with a sorrow a child of her age shouldn't have known. "Can't I come with you? Uncle Albert doesn't like mme anymore..."

"Ruby...I want to make sure that you and Wesker are okay. I'm going for the both of you. I want you to stay here and make sure everything is under control here. Can you do that for me?"

Ruby seemed to put genuine thought into this, then nodded her head slowly. "Can I sleep in your bed until you come back?" She asked hopefully. "You always smell so nice..."

Rebecca blushed at this. Not many people bothered to say nice things about her. No one seemed to have the time. "Of course you can, sweetie." She said softly, kissing Ruby on the forehead again before she left the lab completely.

Ruby looked over at 'Uncle Albert' and sighed softly, she knew this man wasn't going to be paying her any attention any time soon. The little girl slipped off the examination cot she had been laid upon, and silently moved closer to the tank that held Dave. "You're a bad man." She informed him. "My dreams belong to me. Stay out of them!"

Another week passed and by the end of it, Dave was no longer even struggling. His skin had begun to show signs of wear and he simply hung in the acid. He'd stopped entering Ruby's dreams the night before. He was all but praying for death now.

It had only been a week, but Rebecca would barely recognise ruby by the time she returned. The little girl, was not so little. She appeared to be around sixteen years old, with a surly demeanour to match. Wesker had spent the week filling her with hatred towards a man she had never even met. Ruby still came to watch Dave in his tank, though now she was the one forcing her way into his thoughts. "Hurts, doesn't it?" She mocked. "The kind of helpless feeling comparable to that of, oh I don't know... A little girl who can't defend herself from monsters who would shatter her spine?"

Rebecca returned late that night. She was barely able to stand as she made her way into the main lab. Once she'd placed a large beaker filled with blood on the desk in front of Wesker she collapsed onto the floor.

Wesker was surprised by the volume of blood, though that didn't last when he saw Rebecca collapse. He was there to pick her up, and quicker to lay her down gently on the nearest surface; his desk. "Silly girl..." He breathed as he loosened her clothing slightly to give her body chance to breathe. "I told you they would hurt you..."

Rebecca took in a gasping breath that sounded more like a death rattle than anything else. She opened her eyes for a brief moment, giving Wesker a chance to see the milky white surface beneath her cinnamon colored lashes.
She'd injected herself with the T-virus, not caring what became of her as long as she had the power to take on Jill and the Uroburos that inhabited her body.

"You stupid, worthless child!" Wesker roared when he saw what she had done. Like any man faced with losing the woman he loved, even the mighty wesker lost all coherent thought. He knew she needed the antidote, but his limbs seemed to be failing him. As he tried to stand up, his legs buckled from beneath him, it had already been too long without his serum.
It was luck, or maybe a higher power, but Ruby's rapid growth, along with her other developing abilities, meant she knew Rebecca had returned, and ultimately, she was the one who would find the antivirus.

Rebecca opened her eyes to darkness, though it was what she'd expected. Death was everything she'd imagined and now she was waking to her own special hell.
At least...that's what she thought until she caught the heavy snore that came from beside her. "Albert?" She whispered hoarsely.

Wesker stirred slightly, then merely rolled over, an oddly warm arm draping across Rebecca's torso. Perhaps this was Ruby's way of punishing him for ignoring her... Or a special gift for Rebecca, the woman who had shown her kindness, but wesker was currently... Human.

Rebecca couldn't help herself. The warmth that her lover was giving off was intoxicating. She rolled onto her side and pressed herself as close to him as possible, her lips brushing his jaw line.
For a moment she allowed herself to believe that everything had been nothing but a bad dream. She and Wesker were lying in a bed in Mexico, hiding themselves from the rest of the world.

Wesker's arm curled around Rebecca, though it was a reflex more than a conscious action, given that he was still sleeping. He was, however, no longer dreaming, not now that Rebecca's bare skin was pressed against his own.

Rebecca's slender arm now rested on Wesker's side as she continued to imagine that they were still in Mexico. It was almost nice to think that so many bad things hadn't happened between them.
As gently as she could, she coaxed him into rolling onto his back. An impish grin curled her lips as she straddled him and rested her fingers on his chest. He was so warm. She never realized just how much she'd missed that.

Wesker eyes opened slowly, their once yellow depths now a beautiful shade of icy blue. "This is how alarm clocks should work..." He chuckled, not yet realising the change in his body.

Rebecca didn't want to tell him just yet. She wanted to keep the secret just a little while longer. "Who said it was time to get up?" She purred, leaning over him and pressing her lips to his. He was so warm...even his tongue was filled with a delicious heat.

"I think you are the one in control of the, ahem, getting up, right now." Wesker chuckled as his hands came to rest upon his lovers slender hips.

"Like it's that difficult." Rebecca snorted, moving her hips so that Wesker was pushed inside her in one smooth move. "I know how to play you, honey." She added with another purr.

Wesker's fingers tightened against Rebecca's hips and he grinned. "Who are you, and what did you do with Rebecca?" He teased.

"Too forward?" Rebecca asked, ceasing all motion as a blush crept over her cheeks. "Albert...I'm so sorry. Its just that...I've missed you so much."

Wesker didn't even try to hide his grin as he rolled Rebecca beneath him. "When it comes to you... There is no such thing as too much." He breathed, brushing his lips against her collarbone.

Rebecca woke with a start much later. She could see where the full moon was coming in through the slats on the window. She wasn't sure how long she'd been there. All she really knew was that she and Wesker had been unable to get enough of each other. She was so exhausted now she could barely move.
"Albert?" She breathed, trying to wiggle out from beneath him. She'd tried that before to no success. "I need to check on Ruby..."

"Typical Redfield... She's already ruining my fun..." Wesker mumbled, rolling away from Rebecca. While he had enjoyed their time together, it was finally bothering him how easily his body had been exhausted.

Rebecca pulled the sheet up to Wesker's chin and pressed a kiss to his temple before she got up and yanked on his shirt and a pair of jeans.
"Ruby?" She was worried by the dark hallway and the silence that surrounded it. "Sweetie? Where are you?"

"He hasn't realised, has he?" Ruby asked from somewhere in the darkness, an edge to her voice that only came surviving darkness itself. In Ruby's case, it was surviving death, only to be informed she infact the harbinger of someone else's.

The edge and the maturity of the voice all but made Rebecca jump out of her skin. "Ruby?" She called again, not sure she wanted to answer the question just yet. "Is that you?"

Though she was no longer a little girl, Rebecca would instantly be able to recognise the woman who stepped into the light that filled the otherwise dark hallway. Even if Rebecca didn't already know this was Chris Redfield's daughter, it would be clear by the self confident way she carried herself. "Who else would it be?" She asked, the loose curls of her waist length hair swaying slightly as she moved a little closer.

"Oh Ruby...thank god. I was so worried." Rebecca decided to ask questions later as she threw her arms around the young woman. "I've been worried about you...uhm...I'm sorry I didn't come looking sooner..."
