Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

The men the doctor had called for soon arrived, though it took only one of them to carry the tiny pregnant woman. It wasn't any more than a few minutes later when they were gathered around Rebecca's bed, the doctor scrubbed up and reach to do what was needed to save the mothers life. Those had been her instructions from the beginning; Wrsker commanded that of it came down to it, Rebecca's life ranked first.

Rebecca called once for Wesker before she started shouting obscenities at the men who had tied her down. "You morons don't understand!" She screamed. "I have to help the baby! None of you can do it! Let me go before I kill the lot of you!"

"Hold her steady!" The doctor commanded as Rebecca thrashed about. "If she dies, it will be our head on..."
"Yes, it will be." Wesker tired sounding voice informed the doctor, alerting Rebecac to his presence. "If anything happens to Rebecca, i will feed you all to whatever monster i deem fitting!"

"Make them let me go!" Rebecca pleaded, though the simple sound of Wesker's voice had calmed her to the point that she was no longer struggling. "Albert...I can't help him if they have me tied down.." She begged, warm tears sliding down her cheeks.
She wouldn't get to hear his answer. She threw back her head and screamed again, the swell of her belly seeming to be moving in a strange way.

"Get that thing out of her. NOW!" Wesker barked when he saw Rebecca's belly moving from within.
"But sir, it will take time to sedate her enough to safely birth the child." The doctor replied.
"I dont care about that... thing, i just want her safe! Are we clear?"

Rebecca was doing little more than sobbing now. Screaming was simply too much. "Not a thing..." She gasped, feeling her insides tearing. "Our son..."
A tiny fist was now visible, the tear from inside beginning to widen. Apparently the infant had no intention of coming out the normal way.

"Shit..." The doctor was finally losing it, instruments flying everywhere in her haste to grasp for a scalpel. She didnt even have time to give Rebecca something for the pain as she cut into the small woman's distorted belly.

Rebecca's fingers reached for Wesker but she blessedly passed out before she could touch him. She would never know if he had reached for her or touched her in any way.
The man helping to hold Rebecca down let go of her the moment the newborn was pulled out of her belly. He was on his knees in the corner, throwing up.
The infant looked normal, save the intestines hanging out and an arm that came up short near the elbow. However, the newborn was growling like an undead monster would.

"Do what you can for it." Wesker informed the rest of the medical staff without even looking at his son. He was holding Rebecca's hand, brushing his lightly to her temple. "Everything will be okay..." Even know, he still rested hopes on the cocktail of antibodies and infection in Ruby Redfields blood being the key to making everything right again.

Rebecca woke up nearly two days later, feeling as if she'd been run over by a massive truck. "Albert?" She breathed, already trying to push herself up to sitting.

"Don't try to sit up, not yet." Wesker told his lover gently. "You've been through quite a lot of surgery, you need to stay still."

"The baby..." Rebecca reached for a light, desperate to see the child she'd waited for. "Albert...where is the baby?"

"Not here." Wesker told her evasively. "I know you wont rest if you are caring for him." He added, telling her the boy lived, in his own non direct way.

"Can I see him?" Rebecca asked hopefully, offering her beloved a weary smile. "And...can I see you? A hug, a kiss...something?"

"Everyhing will fine, as long as you rest." Wesker breathed, his movements heavy and slow as he leaned over, kissing Rebecca's forehead gently.

"You haven't fixed yourself, have you?" Rebecca asked, reaching up to keep him from getting away from her. "Albert, I'm worried about you."

"Don't be." Wesker whispered, his eyes avoiding meeting her own. "Your life has always been worth far more than my own."

Rebecca frowned at this. Her Albert Wesker never said things like this. He must really think his own cause lost. "Have you seen him?" She asked, trying to change the subject. "Have you held him yet?"

"No." Wesker replied, not elaborating further. "I failed you, Rebecca. Those were words I never wished to say. But, by allowing Dave to just walk out of here with Ruby's body... I fail to see how I am supposed to heal what our child did to you."

"Let's not talk about Ruby." Rebecca sighed. "But Wesker...I'm okay. Really. I don't feel bad at all. And it wasn't Albie's fault. He was just ready to see us. You can't blame him for that...but...did they fix him? Please, honey. I need to see him."

"Just because you don't feel something, doesn't mean it isn't there." Wesker replied, his tone darkening considerably. "The child has infected you, Rebecca. He carried the same virus in his blood that I do, and it is waging war in your body as we speak."

"It's got to mean something that I'm not dead yet." Rebecca answered cheerfully, her old optimism returning. Someone had to keep their head up, didn't they? "Albert, I want to see our son."

Wesker shook his head. "You know as well as I do that a virus can simply stagnate for long period s of time. Who is to say he won't pass something else on to you?"

Rebecca gave Wesker a pout that usually got her what she wanted. Though she wasn't above taking matters into her own hands. She forced herself to sit up, ignoring the pain. "I'm going to see my son, Albert!" She all but shouted. "You can either help me or stay out of my way!"

"Or I could sedate you. Indefinitely." Wesker threatened. "You decide."

Rebecca's bravery began to fail and she burst into tears, burying her face in her hands. All she wanted was to hold the child she'd fought so hard for and all the man she loved wanted to do was keep her away from it.

It wasn't that Wesker was punishing Rebecca, it was simply the fact that he was so scared of something happening to her, that he was not willing to risk anything. "What if... I let you see him? You can't hold him, but you can see that he survived."

For a long moment Rebecca couldn't answer. She cried until she was sure she was going to throw up or worse. "Albert...I need to hold him. I can't explain it...I'll do anything..."

Wesker was not going to give on this matter, evident in his yellow eyes as they finally met Rebecca's. "Hate me, scream at me, even stop loving me, but I won't endanger your life by letting you touch him."

"Then we're agreed I can at least see him?" Rebecca asked as she tumbled back onto the pillows. She wasn't going to hate him or stop loving him, but it certain hurt her that he refused to let her hold their child. "Can I...maybe...talk to him?" She added hopefully.
