Wesker had gotten Rebecca back to the safety of the tiny facility where he had taken Claire and Leon's newborn children, it was also the place that Chris and Jill's dark haired daughter currently called home. However, for now wesker had left all three children in the care of someone else, his attention solely on easing Rebecca's pain and meding the wound he himself had given her.

"Most of the time." Wesker mused. "We can go and see him, but you can't lift him up, it's too much strain on your stitches."

"He doesn't weigh a million pounds, Albert." Rebecca sighed dramatically. "I'll bet he doesn't even weigh ten." That said she made a break for the door, grinning wildly.

Wesker sighed heavily as he followed her. "Ten pounds is all it could take." He muttered.

"You worry too much!" Rebecca laughed as she scooted to the edge of Albie's bed and lifted him up. In that moment life couldn't be any better. The man she loved was standing beside her and the new beloved in her life was now in her arms. "He's perfect." She breathed, pressing a kiss to the infant's forehead.

Wesker was visibly bristling when Rebecca lifted their son up. "Be careful!" He told her in a hushed tone. "You shouldn't be doing that!"

"Why?" She asked, glancing at him for little more than a moment before she was again looking at their son. "He's not that heavy." She cooed, talking more to the baby than him. "And he's so cold. He needs some clothes on. Mommmy will get you something."

"He may not seem heavy to you, but your stitches are still fresh." Wesker warned, attempting to take the child into his own arms. "You get the clothes, I will carry him."

Rebecca manuvered herself so that reaching for the baby would be a task in itself. She was whispering to the boy now, shrugging out of her dressing gown to wrap it around him. "All he needed was his mommy." She breathed. "Look at him. He seems peaceful."

Wesker didn't agree. He still saw the boy as a threat to Rebecca's health. "Rebecca, out your dressing gown back on, I will have somebody bring... Albie... Some clothes."

"You don't like the name, do you?" Rebecca asked, looking around for a chair to sit in so that she could rock her son.

"I never said that. It just... Takes some getting used to." Wesker replied, seeming to ease up a little when Rebecca found herself a chair.

Rebecca bit her lip as she sat, surprised at how much pressure it put on her midsection to sit. "Do you...think he likes me?" She asked, forgetting the pain as she looked up into her lover's eyes. It was clear that the mere thought worried her.

Wesker saw the pain in Rebecca's eyes, but that was pushed aside when he saw how much it meant to her by simply holding their son. "Of course he does, he hasn't responded to anyone else yet."

"He's not really responding to me either." Rebecca whispered, a single tear sliding down her cheek and landing with a plop on the baby's forehead.

Wesker crouched down in front of mother and child, taking the boys tiny hand gently between his fingers. "I disagree." He breathed. "He barely made a sound, let alone moved before now."

All at once the tiny boy seemed to come alive. It was as if contact from both of his parents had turned on a switch. He turned his mismatched eyes toward his mother and cooed loudly, his tiny fingers tightening around Wesker's own.

This reaction was certainly not list on wesker, and he couldn't help but smile. "See... He knows you." He breathed, assuming rebecca alone was the reason for the reaction.

Rebecca's grin was filled with joy, her eyes all but sparkling. "He knows us." She corrected. All at once she was simply too exhausted. She could barely hold her head up anymore. "Take him." She breathed, knowing she was about to drop him.

Wesker quicy scooped his son up when he saw Rebecca waning. "I told you you were pushing yourself." He warned, yet wasn't quite ready to relinquish the boy just yet.

"I'm fine." Rebecca breathed, her head falling back against the chair. The infant squealed with delight at his father's touch, his mismatched eyes squinting as he tried to make him out.

Wesker finally set his son back down, though only to lift Rebecca into his arms in the infant's place. "Rest. We can play with our son tomorrow, when you have gotten a little more of your strength back."

Rebecca didn't answer. Her body was all but dead weight in his arms. He'd been right all along. Bringing her to see the newborn hadn't been a very good idea at all.

Wesker was cursing all the way back to the bedroom they shared when he realised Rebecca was unresponsive. Once he had her laid on the bed, he began taking a sample of her blood. He had to be sure.

"Sir." The small female who sat across from Albert Wesker was trembling in fear. She didn't want to be the one to tell him of Rebecca's blood tests. "I uh...I think you should give your wife something for her fever..." She breathed.

"All your supposed medical training, and that is all you can come up with?" Wesker snapped, not bothering to tell the trembling woman he and Rebecca weren't married, in the legal sense.

"The virus is taking over her cells, Mr. Wesker." The young woman whimpered. "At the rate it's going she'll be a zombie in less than three days..."

"And 'give her something for her fever' was the best you had?" Wesker asked thinly. He knew more than ever now that he needed Ruby's blood, as he thought Jill valentine to be dead now.

"What else do you want? There's no cure for her, not when it's come this far." The young woman whispered, ready to flee if she needed to.

Wesker actually growled this time. "There is always a way. I will put her into stasis, if I have to."

"Then I'd suggest you do that before the virus takes over anything else in her body." The doctor said, chewing on her nails. "Should I get things started?"
